Honoring Alexis

Alexis Kuhr, my sister's partner, was an amazing person. An accomplished artist and teacher, she was also a compassionate leader and loving family member. We lost her in October of 2023. Her professional life as artist and educator was honored on February 12, 2025.

The University of Massachusetts community loved Alexis dearly and honored her with a posthumous showing of her art. The exhibition was curated by her friend and colleague Professor Young Min Moon.

The exhibit spanned several rooms, and guided the viewer through the many phases and interests that Alexis enjoyed over the years.

Throughout her career, Alexis influenced the lives and careers of many hundreds of students. It was gratifying to see them come out to celebrate her legacy.
